Grennan College Parents Council, as one of the educational partners, plays an active role in the activities of the college. The Council, through its elected officers is involved in policy development, fund raising and student awards.
Policy Development
The Council is actively involved in developing and drafting school policies and in reviewing these policies on an ongoing basis.
Fund-raising
Each year, in conjunction with the local soccer club, the association organises a duck race on the river Nore in order to raise funds which goes towards the provision of extra curricular activities of the students.
Student awards
Each year the Berkeley Cup is presented to the student who achieves the highest grades in the Leaving Certificate.
The Berkeley Shield, also presented by the Parents Council, is awarded to a student who records a particular achievement in some discipline.
