On Friday the 20th of May the Transition Year students of 2016 finished the Year off with their annual Coffee Morning.
On show at the event were a wide variety of projects and artefacts that the Students had produced. This Year will be remembered
as one of the best in our Transition Year History. With students representing our town and school in many competitions such as the Young
Entrepreneurs and travelling to countries like Lourdes, France and Lake Garda, Italy, while also taking part numerous events and activities
throughout the year. The Students highlights were, sea fishing, the canoe expedition, Lourdes and the trip to
Italy. They were a fantastic group of students.
Thomastown Credit Union sponsored the award for the Best TY Student and Runners up. The award was present by Valerie Cotterr, Chairperson of Thomastown Credit Union.
The winner was Jennifer McGuinness. Runners up were Louise Kelly Malone and Stevie Wemyss.
